Currently, our world comprises around 6 billion people. Of that number, 4 billion people live in poverty and of the 4 billion, around 1.1 billion live on less than $1 a day. One of the ways to combat this imbalance is through fairer trade practices. Fair trade enables the producer the ability to afford life’s basics such as clean water, food, shelter, health care and education. Fair trade says “no” to child labour and sweatshops. Fair trade says "yes" to open and transparent business practices. One Colour agrees with and supports fair trade. We also believe it is essential to acknowledge the skills and effort of each and every producer, whether they are tailors, spinners, knitters, beaders or embroiderers. These people use their skills to make what we give, use and wear. Through One Colour you can say "thank you".
