A move to Brisbane from the Hunter Valley, NSW seemed the right time to set up a business that would reflect my desire to pursue justice and mercy in the world. This same desire is grounded in my belief that God has already extended to me His own mercy and grace in Jesus Christ.
The One Colour business will pursue the goal of sustainable ethical trade with producers in developing countries and at the same time we will not compromise our ability to provide the customer with well priced, well made clothing, accessories and interesting gifts.
Whilst not wanting to encourage excessive shopping habits, a purchase from One Colour can be the means by which customers show support for fairer trade practices and still enjoy buying gifts, clothing or accessories as they are needed.
In truth, though, buying ethically or fairly traded goods isn’t going to end world poverty, but it will support a small but growing number of men and women in developing countries who have had the opportunity to align themselves with a fairer way of doing business.
Now I hope that you have a window into where the business has come from and also where it is going. I look forward to sharing with you global gear that has justice in mind.
Be compassionate, be informed, make wise choices.
